Founded in 1893 with Gold in them there hills, Marble Bar has earned a reputation as Australia's hottest town. Consistently getting high temperatures during the summer months, it's not uncommon to see the mercury climb to over 38 degrees or 100 degrees Fahrenheit for days on end. Famously back in 1923-1924 achieving 160 consecutive days over 37.7 degrees... Now that’s “Hotter than a snakes butt”
